Will a doula replace my spouse?

Absolutely not, a doula will facilitate the support needs for you and your spouse as they are there to support you and your family. This is your time to shine and your doula is there to help you both beam that light with confidence and pride.

Aren't doulas only for home births?

We feel this is one of the biggest misconceptions. Doulas are there to support all births. At home, birth center or hospital. Un-medicated, medicated or cesarean section ALL BIRTHS are meaningful and deserve doula support.

When should I get a doula?

It's never to early to scope out your doula. Make contact and have a conservation during a consult to get a feel for what kind of support you need when the times comes.

If you would like your doula at your birth make contact right away. If the perferred doula is unavailabe they could refer you to another one who is avaliable and a match for you. Also, lets not forget about postpartum period support. A doula can surely be there with you during that time.

Because the thing is the amount of support you need is based off you!
