Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation involves transforming the placenta into pills to be consumed by the birther for postpartum health benefits. The process of steaming and dehydrating follows the traditional Chinese method.
Performing the encapsulation at the home of the birther, over two consecutive days, ensuring the placenta remains entirely yours, minimizing exposure to unfamiliar bacteria. By an OSHA Bloodborne Pathagon and ServSafe Food Handler holder, this method is considered safe and beneficial by many who seek natural postpartum recovery.
Process:
- Day 1 (Preparation): The placenta is carefully drained, steamed, and sliced into small pieces.
- Day 2 (Drying and Encapsulation): The pieces are dried, through dehydrating and then ground into powder. The powder is placed into capsules for easy consumption.
Benefits:
- Hormonal Balance: Placenta encapsulation may help restore hormones post-birth, reducing the risk of postpartum depression and promoting emotional balance.
- Increased Energy: Some people report a boost in energy levels and reduced fatigue.
- Improved Milk Supply: The placenta is believed to support increased lactation and milk production.
- Enhanced Healing: It is said to support quicker recovery from birth by boosting nutrients that assist in healing the body.
